He is directly responsible for all facets of electrical engineering which include power, lighting, communications systems, security systems, controls systems, lightning and surge protection, instrumentation, energy management, cost estimating and specifications.

Mr. Baus has over 21 years experience in construction and engineering, encompassing practical field experience as well as design expertise, that he has gained through performance on over 200 education projects. His extensive knowledge and on the job experience has led him to play a major role in the Education Division of MPE. Mr. Baus is a registered electrical, mechanical and fire protection engineer and he is an expert in renovation and new construction, concentrating in electrical, power, lighting, communication systems, security systems, lightning and surge protection, energy management, technology, cost estimating, and construction administration. Mr. Baus is also a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Mr. Strandquest brings with him over ten year’s experience in Mechanical Engineering and Project Management. Mr. Strandquest is a Vice President and is the Department Head for the Educational Division consisting of K-12 and University projects. Mr. Strandquest’s overall responsibilities include project management, quality control, design, specifications, scheduling, and technical support for mechanical and plumbing systems design. He has a wide range of experience in hotels and resorts, commercial applications, central energy plants, as well as K-12 and University experience. Mr. Strandquest is well known for his proactive project management style and for providing the owner with complete satisfaction of our services.

Lannie R. Farmer - Vice President

Mr. Farmer has over forty-two years experience in the engineering field, during which time he has designed or managed projects utilizing controlled-tracking systems in research facilities, heat reclamation, high rise building smoke control and ice/thermal storage. Mr. Farmer has served in the capacity of lead designer and project manager for multi-million dollar projects ranging from complex medical, laboratory and research facilities for universities and institutions to large commercial office and hotel complexes. He has been involved in the design of over seven million gross square feet of medical and research oriented facilities. His experience includes the ability to manage various projects, meet deadlines and stay within budget.

Kevin Bjorgum, PE

Thomas C. Croff

Mr. Croff brings with him over ten years experience and has gone through an amazingly diversified upper-level series of training programs, which began in the Naval Nuclear Power Program and continues today with his participation in the BEE program at the University of Central Florida. Thomas has worked extensively with many types of electrical, robotic, pneumatic, hydraulic and motor control systems. He has installed and designed many other systems, including Generator/UPS, Fire Alarm, Hood Suppression, Mic Line, paging/intercom, audio/video media retrieval, energy management, emergency power and lighting, lightning and surge suppression, MATV, CCTV, Servitel / monitoring, Access Control, Duress and various ethernet applications.

Mr. Diaz brings with him fifteen year’s experience in Electrical Engineering. Mr. Diaz has held numerous Project Manager roles and has been responsible for fee negotiations, contract revisions, design phase, construction administration and marketing. He has managed HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection Engineers and Electrical Design teams. Mr. Diaz is capable of establishing budgets, time management and revenue. He recently was involved in the University of Florida’s new stadium and the Orlando Utilities Administration Building. Mr. Diaz is a LEED Accredited Professional and has an excellent understanding of the business of consulting engineering.

Ernest Fennell, PE

His knowledge and understanding of HVAC engineering is remarkable, as is his attention to detail. Mr. Griffith has completed a 40 hour course at the University of Wisconsin entitled “The Commissioning Process in Practice”. He is a member of the Building Commissioning Association.
