Matern Professional Engineering, Inc. (MPE) is one of the largest mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, technology, energy and commissioning engineering service firms in Florida and has been providing professional engineering services throughout an expanded area of Florida since 1984.

MPE has offices in Maitland (Orlando area), Fort Myers, Jacksonville, and Tampa, Florida. MPE is staffed by forty (40) professionals thoroughly experienced in electrical, technology, HVAC, plumbing and fire protection engineering design, project management and observation of work. The staff includes Professional Engineers, LEED® Accredited Professionals, and other specialists certified and/or registered throughout the United States. All of our offices are supported by a team of ten (10) assistants well versed in a variety of administrative skills.

MPE has provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, technology, energy and commissioning engineering services for new construction, renovations, design/builds, retrofits, expansions and upgrades for facilities throughout the State of Florida. Our firm has gathered an extensive list of projects ranging from minor continuing service projects under $1 million to multiple-phased large scale prominent landmark buildings. With experience in over 50 different municipalities, school districts and universities in the State of Florida, our staff has a keen understanding of Florida Building Codes and City Ordinances.

MPE is proud that our designs consistently result in a reduction of our clients capital outlay, either through first cost or operational costs. Through our experience, we understand both the quality and the cost effectiveness of various design solutions. MPE has reviewed design standards and made recommendations that resulted in savings where requirements for foot candles, outlets, etc. were reduced. If more cost efficient solutions are available, we will make alternate suggestions during the project scope validation process.

MPE has performed studies and implemented systems such as Thermal Energy (Ice) Storage, which have resulted in savings for our clients. MPE is also proud to be using Earth Wise HVAC design, which results in a substantial reduction of capital first costs. While we use due diligence in reviewing scope, programs and standards to best represent our client, we aim to comply with the design direction of the client. We will also assist the client in coordination of energy rebate programs available in your area. We strive to be the ultimate team player.
